Considerations
The hot swap module inside the Hercules UAS, allows us to use two separate input power for the Payload voltage regulator in a safe way.
⚠️
The protection circuit prevents any reverse current from one input to the other caused by the voltage difference in both parallel power sources.
🔌 Voltage & Power Source
-
Do NOT use an input voltage above 55V
(Equivalent to 12s LiHV - Lithium High Voltage) -
Do NOT use a DC power source
Always use a battery pack
⚙️ Regulator & Battery Information
-
Maximum current supported by the payload voltage regulator: 10A
-
The auxiliary battery voltage must be higher than the payload regulator voltage
- This ensures the regulator properly supplies power.
-
When the main batteries are removed from the UAS:
- The drone's internal electronics will power off
- The auxiliary battery will continue:
- Powering the payload
- Maintaining the 50V external output
